Purpose
This article describes how to add a car rental code to your TravelBank account.
Audience
This article applies to all TravelBank administrative users with access to TravelBank travel management.
Overview
A car rental code is a company-wide billing code or corporate discount that will be used for every booking for that particular car rental company.
When you add a car rental discount code* to your company settings, it's meant to do several things:
Apply negotiated rates: These codes are tied to corporate agreements with rental companies. When entered during booking, they trigger special pricing, waived fees, or added perks (like free upgrades or additional drivers).
Enable tracking and reporting: Rental companies use these codes to associate bookings with your company, which helps with usage tracking and gauging eligibility for rewards or billing arrangements.
Unlock benefits: Depending on the vendor, codes may also unlock waived young-driver fees, roadside assistance, loyalty program perks, or other benefits.
*Note: A car rental discount code is often called a corporate discount program (CDP), budget customer discount (BCD), or account number, depending on the vendor.
Known limitations
TravelBank currently supports car rental codes only for Enterprise, National, and Avis.
Corporate discounts vs billing codes
Corporate discounts are provided by a rental car company (for example, Enterprise, Avis, or National) and applied by a customer company to get negotiated rates and benefits.

Billing codes (also known as billing reference codes or direct bill numbers) are provided by the rental car company to the customer company after the companies sign a billing agreement. Billing codes enable direct billing to the company rather than charging an employee.
Steps
To add car rental codes for your organization, from the TravelBank navigation menu, select Company Settings > Travel > Car Rental Codes > +Add Car Code (Figure 1).
