Do I earn Brex Rewards points when using Brex Travel?

Yes! Brex customers that qualify for Brex Exclusive will earn 4 points per $1 spent when they use their Brex Account to pay. If you do not qualify for Brex Exclusive, you will still earn 1 point per $1 spent on all transactions.

Can I use Brex Rewards to pay for travel?

Yes, administrators of Brex accounts can use their rewards points to pay for flights and hotels booked through Brex Travel. 

How does Brex Travel work?

Brex users can access Brex Travel from the Brex Dashboard. From that point on, they will also see their Brex card as a saved payment option from directly within the TravelBank app and website!

Who can access/use Brex Travel?

Any authorized Brex user can access Brex Travel to book travel with his/her Brex Account.

Who can use points to pay for travel booked in Brex Travel?

Users on a Brex account who are marked as an administrator by Brex can use points to pay for travel booked in Brex Travel. Standard cardholders can pay with a card but cannot access the points redemption features.

What payment methods can I use for Brex?

We offer a variety of options for payment Brex Travel. Customers can pay with:

  • Brex card and earn 4 points per $1 spent (Brex Exclusive)
  • A different credit card
  • Brex Rewards points

Currently, we do not support splitting a transaction across multiple different payment types (you would need sufficient points in your account if using points for travel).  Our Travel Agent team can only help book travel with a credit card.

What kind of travel can I book through Brex Travel?

You can book domestic and international flights, hotels, and Airbnb stays on Brex Travel.

Who powers the Brex Travel?

Brex Travel is powered by TravelBank! TravelBank is a modern business travel management platform designed for busy professionals. TravelBank features curated travel inventory with special corporate rates for business travel, a rewards program that incentivizes employees to choose more cost-effective options, and free 24/7 customer support.   

I need to book travel for my colleague.  How can I do that?

TravelBank offers the option to book travel for yourself or for a colleague. To book travel for a colleague, you simply select “Book for Someone Else” at checkout. This will enable you to add your colleagues’ travel profile and book on their behalf. They will be sent itinerary updates, and you can also select their profile from the dropdown menu for all future bookings.

Do you charge a service fee for your travel booking?

At present, there are no TravelBank service fees for booking travel via the Brex Travel.

Do you charge change/cancellation fees?

Our experienced Travel Agent team handles all change and cancellation requests, but TravelBank does not charge any service fees for these requests. However, depending on the type of change request, the time at which it was made, and the type of ticket originally booked (refundable or non), airlines and hotels may charge a service fee. Typically airlines will charge a change fee of $150-200 (domestic flights) and up to $500 for international flights.
